We've been a family of 5 for about 6 weeks though it feels like much longer. Katie has adjusted wonderfully to the family and it feels as if she's been here forever. She is so darn loveable I hope she never loses her personality...
*She loves to watch the birds, she goes out and stands next to the bird feeder and laughs when the birds fly into eat. Then she points and hollers when they fly off to the tree to store their food. Then if the squirrel comes she gets super excited...
*She LOVES music and dances constantly. There is an (annoying) educational 3 minute music show on Playhouse Disney called Choo Choo Soul. Oh my, when that comes on she really starts bopping and dancing around. Loves hokey-pokey elmo, patty cake, itsy bitsy spider and if you're happy...
*She's still very personable, hollers hello and bye bye to people all over the place. Still very clingy to mommy though.
*Loves to eat and still eats, and eats and eats. Has discovered a love of chocolate ice cream (she's calling it kaka, no little girl it's not poop, it's ice cream!), and the boys are teaching her about popsicles.
*She's mastered up to step 3 on the ladder to the slide and is running more and more. She entertains herself well. She loves to walk along the back fence and will be happily entertained just walking and talking to herself while I hang up wash or rake the yard. She thinks she's big stuff in her mud boots and loves to stop in the puddles too.
She's an absolute delight and has brought a glorious ray of sunshine to the family. How anyone could have left her in that orphanage I'll never know, but I'm grateful she's a part of our family.
