We have those set routines in our house, things the boys always do. And always in their shadow is little Katie, doing the same thing as they do...
Boys Version: After dinner, the boys do homework, pack their lunch, get their school clothes, change into PJs and/or bath, brush teeth and then we usually read...
Katie's Version: After dinner, she grabs her flashcards or book and has to do her letters and/or bring a book to read. She packs her lunch (it needs a tad modifying as it's usually full of a few jars of baby food and fruit rollups. She gets clothes. Problem is all her clothes are up high (has to do with the little naked girl changing clothes often). So the only clothes she can reach are usually an odd assortment of underwear and socks. She runs for her nightie and changes into it. And on bathnight can take her clothes off and be in the bathtub in 10 seconds flat. She LOVES taking a bath and does it independentally (including washing her hair). And she brushes her teeth. Then she comes running with her selection of a book. And she usually has the patience to sit through all 3 stories.
Thankfully the boys are good role models (most of the time!) or we'd be seeing some seriously different behavior!
