Sickness
I've fallen off the blog planet for the past few weeks. Every club/event I sponsor is in full season right now making work extremely busy and time consuming. Mark was out of town for a week in a much warmer climate... And Today after 2 hours at the clinic and 1 hour at the pharmacy, Alex has his 4th case of strep throat this school year.. Ug! And the doctor is just as confused. She's telling us to get our pets checked for it (never heard of this bef0re?)... Long days and long nights in our household lately...

Dress-Up
I pulled a box of "too big clothes" out today for Katie to play dress-up. She LOVES to change her clothes and is so entertaining as she "ohs and ahs" over all the clothes. Then she found a pile of swimsuits in the box and she was VERY excited. Here's a shot of her all dressed up. She even had play dress shoes on. Don't worry this is the extent of her "pageant" experiences...

Who's there?

Cow who?

Sunshine
After the winds left last week, we had a nice snowstorm of about 7 inches and then each night another fresh dusting on top of that. The days have been filled with some brillant, yellow sunshine and the temps have been in the 20s. It's been perfect days for outdoor activities. The boys got new sleds with some Christmas money and we spent a lot of time breaking them in this weekend. Katie loves to be outside when it's not bitter cold and will run for her gear if she knows anyone is heading out the door. As usual her gear is a bit scattered about the house as she's still working on putting stuff away. So she runs around the house looking for it... She's so cute as she'll yell when she finds something. Aha! My Hat. Aha! My gloves... Her vocabulary is growing so much...
PS I was supposed to be working on the post-placement report for the social worker as we need to get a report to Russia next month. But the report has changed and is a lot longer and I was lacking the motivation to attempt it when the sun was shining and it was warm outside... I'll wait for a lousy weather day!

Winds
It's been a rough 3 days in our little valley of Alaska. High winds (Category 1 Hurricane) have been beating us up. Many power outages, blowing glacier silt and dirt and just plain ugly weather. Here's a photo from the Anchorage Daily News... It's calming down now to about 30 mph gusts, we were blowing at 50 mph with gusts to 85... I'll take snow anyday!
And No worries we still had school, crazy adminstrators... 33 buses were late this morning related to high wind issues...
